Azienda Agricola Margiotta
About the Winery
Azienda Agricola Margiotta is located in the Majella National Park, in the heart of Abruzzo, a region rich in history and deeply rooted in viticulture. The estate spans 10 hectares of vineyards across the areas of Pratola Peligna and Corfinio, combining traditional methods with continuous innovation and research, all while maintaining a deep respect for natural biological cycles and biodiversity.
Founded nearly a century ago by Gabriele Margiotta, the winery has remained a family affair. Today, it is led by Carlo Margiotta, alongside his daughter Francesca, the fifth generation of the family, who together strive to reflect the essence of their land and culture in every drop of wine.
About the Wines
Azienda Agricola Margiotta produces single-varietal wines from indigenous grape varieties, including Montepulciano, Pecorino, and Trebbiano. Situated in a pedemontana area, the estate benefits from late-ripening grapes and significant temperature variations, ensuring exceptional quality. The grapes are hand-harvested, carefully placed in crates, and processed in the winery on the same day, adhering to the highest standards of enological expertise. This approach reflects the winery's commitment to biodiversity and respect for natural biological cycles.
