We had a great experience at the Valentina Cubi winery. Not only the accomodation was very good, but also the people we met at the Agriturismo Valentina Cubi were extremely friendly and helpful. Then our degustation and winery tour was particularly pleasant: Filippo was an excellent host, his presentation was excellent and the wines we tried, left us wanting more. All in all it was a memorable experience we can thoroughly recommend to anybody wanting to find out about winemaking in Valpolicella.

About Winery and Wines

The story of Valentina Cubi Winery began in Valpolicella, where Valentina and Giancarlo grew up and met. Giancarlo comes from a family of winemakers since the 19th century, while Valentina became passionate about wine after meeting her husband. In 1969 the couple decided to invest their savings in Fumane, buying 7 hectares of the current 10, located in important cru such as Monte Tenda, Monte Crosetta, and Rasso. These vineyards are the company's most important asset, to which only organic agronomic techniques are applied. The organic certification was strongly felt and wanted by Valentina, as well as being a real philosophy of the whole family. The aim is to be in tune with nature and to leave future generations a better, healthier environment that can still give great satisfaction.

Vineyards are the most valuable assets of the Valentina Cubi estate. They are located between 290 and 350 meters above sea level and south and south-east oriented. They are mainly cultivated with ancient local varieties of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, which are included in the “Valpolicella” blend. The unique composition of lands rich in soil skeleton bestows the estate's fresh and elegant wines an exclusive character, with natural fruity and spiced notes. The estate's vineyards also include some international varieties, such as Cabernet, Sangiovese, and Croatina.

A great wine is not born in the cellar but in the vineyard. This philosophy is the foundation of Valentina Cubi's winemaking approach, where each wine is imbued with a distinct character and a deep connection to the Valpolicella region and its history.

IPERICO is the Valpolicella Classico, the first organic wine produced by Valentina Cubi. It features floral, fruity, and pleasantly spiced notes, making it a fresh, easy-to-drink everyday wine. After racking, decanting, and steel refinement, it goes straight into the bottle.

ILTABARRO, the Valpolicella Superiore, is crafted by selecting the finest Valpolicella wine from the winery. This versatile wine successfully marries fresh, fruity flavors with soft oak notes and undergoes a year of refinement in wooden barrels.

ARUSNATICO, the Ripasso, is a textured yet fresh and fruity wine. Following tradition, it is produced from the second fermentation of Valpolicella Superiore over the pomace of Amarone. It boasts a brilliant color, a clean nose, and exceptional elegance on the palate.

MORAR is the Amarone, refined for four years in wooden barrels and at least two years in bottles. It is released only when ready to deliver an authentic emotional experience. This Amarone is dry, refined, and balanced on the nose, with a rounded palate.

MELILOTO is the Recioto, produced only in the best vintages. This traditional sweet wine, crafted for holidays and special occasions, is made from the withering of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes — at least 90 days for the Amarone and 120 days for the Recioto.

QB Rosso delle Venezie IGT is an intense garnet-colored wine with good depth, born from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese. Dominant notes of cherry, licorice, and spices define its character.

SIN CERO is a spontaneously fermented wine, made without added yeasts or sulfites. Produced only in excellent vintages, it captures the essence of the Valpolicella terroir, reflecting its most authentic expression through the exclusive use of local grapes.

ANTENATUS is a fresh, vibrant wine with a lively bubble that enhances each sip. It is the result of two years of experimentation with the traditional Corvina vine, a variety that holds special significance for Valentina Cubi.
