Wonderful place

A very beautiful and recommended experience, beautiful location.
Very good wine.
Despite the bad weather we were very comfortable in the outdoor gazebo.
The staff was super kind and available for all requests.

Wine Tasting

My husband and I, in August, did a private wine tasting at Villa Le Prata in Montalcino. The villa and the vineyards are beautiful, and the property has remained with the same family for generations. Beautiful explanation of the Brunello wines by Giada, she was excellent. An extraordinary experience to definitely do again.

Wine tasting at Villa de Prata

The wine tasting was very good. It started with a short tour and explanation of the vineyards and the building, which also houses a boutique hotel. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable. My husband and I then went to a small tasting room for more explanation of the wines and the vineyard’s honey. The tasting included one type of cheese, bread accompanied by the vineyard’s olive oil and honey. The manager of the vineyard did come in to check on us and answered additional explanations and a sample of a wine not yet released. My only suggestion would be for the vineyard to also offer a wine/food pairing - which perhaps they do and I missed the option. The winery does offer a picnic on the grounds which we did not book. I would recommend this tour.
