BEIRA SERRA VINHOS
(Winery in Beira Interior)
About Winery and Wines
Beira Serra Vinhos was founded in 1956 in Vila Franca das Naves, in the Trancoso county, part of the Guarda district in Portugal's Beira Interior region. With extensive experience in wine production, bottling, and commercialization, the company can produce 5 million liters of wine per year. Recent investments have focused on technology, the preparation of the cellar for wine tourism, expanding the knowledge of winemakers, and accessing new international markets.
The wines are born from carefully tended grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards ranging from 400 to 750 meters. These vineyards benefit from the terroir of the region’s Estrela, Marofa, and Malcata mountains. The Red and Rosé wines, crafted from regional grape varieties such as Marufo, Rufete, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, offer floral aromas, wild berries, and intense spice notes.
The White and exceptional Sparkling wines delight the senses with vibrant aromas and refreshing qualities, made from local varieties like Síria, Fonte Cal, Malvasia, and Arinto.
