BODEGA BUTXET

Winery in Mallorca

About the Winery

Located in the picturesque Son Morei estate, Bodega Butxet is nestled at the foot of our vineyard in Muro, just 800 meters from the Albufera de Muro Natural Park and 4 km from Muro beach. The winery is uniquely positioned to benefit from the diverse microclimates and terrains of the area, influenced by the nearby lagoon and sea. This proximity to nature enhances the character of our wines, making our winery a must-visit destination for those seeking to experience the distinctiveness of Mallorcan wine.

About the Wines

Bodega Butxet produces red, white, and rosé wines exclusively from grapes grown in its own vineyards. The winery cultivates both international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay, and native Mallorcan grapes such as Giro Ros, Premsal, Mantonegro, Callet, and Escursac. These wines are notable for their fruity character and easy drinkability, enhanced by the unique microclimate created by the vineyard's proximity to the Muro lagoon and the sea. This location imparts a distinctive, regional essence to their wines.

Small, but very fine
Nice welcome and a great English-language cellar tour. The group wasn't too big, so it was easy to chat. The selected wines were very reasonably priced. Both the whites and the reds were great. Thank you very much!
The red Syrah. It's top-notch!

Really great afternoon at the vineyard
We really enjoyed the tour and Marta talking through the process of wine making and her family vineyard. We then sat outside in the shade and tasted 5 wines - it is a beautiful setting looking out to the mountains and a great way to spend the afternoon.

Nice Wine Tasting
We participated in the wine tasting with 7 adults + child. It was very nice and entertaining and absolutely reasonable for the price. The owner was very nice and attentive. For our youngest, there was grape juice. Chips, cheese and crackers were served with the wine.

Very pleasant afternoon
The tour and tasting was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The owner was interesting and informative, the location very pretty and the wine was very nice. Much nicer than the wine you can get from the supermarket!
The snacks to go with the wine could be more diverse, such as different local cheeses or produce

Great tour – great wines
The family-run bodega is fantastic. Great tour through the facility with a super explanation.
Super nice and accommodating, great wines.
A few more tapas to last through the wine tasting would be good. Our platter was just enough for 1 piece per person to try.

Cozy and friendly
We were visiting the vineyard in July 2024. The vineyard is a family run business. The owner presented us the grape types they have and the process of obtaining the wine. Then we tasted 5 types of wines and the story of them, where the name comes from etc. It was nice and cozy atmosphere, it is nice way of spending the afternoon.
The place is not open all the time, so try to not arrive much earlier than the planned visit.
