About Winery and Wines
Bodega del Nero is located in the heart of the town of Chinchón, one of the most beautiful villages with the longest tourist tradition in the Community of Madrid. Located in the region of Las Vegas, southeast of this community, and only 45 km from the capital, the town of Chinchón offers us an incomparable landscape, which makes the visitor go back to medieval times. The winery, founded in 1870, is made up of a building over 150 years old, which, thanks to its wide walls, and its orientation, manages to favor naturally balanced temperature and humidity conditions all year round , essential for the good conservation and aging of wine.
Bodega del Nero, is one of the few wineries in Spain with five generations of winemakers within the same family, and now, the fifth generation has returned to its roots. He has returned to elaborate his wines in the way that his ancestors did, in the earthen jars.
