Cantina del Tufaio is nestled in the heart of the Zagarolo DOC, an ancient village 30 km from Rome. The company was founded in 1994 by the heirs of the Loreti family to continue a tradition that has its roots in 1881. The company consists of a farmhouse located in the center of the vineyards and a suggestive cave dug into the tuff 16 meters deep, where today the classic method of sparkling wine, Tufaio Pas Dosè, is refined. The name Tufaio is intended to celebrate the typical tuff banks on which Zagarolo was born. The nose rediscovers this characteristic, emerges from the terroir and the vineyards' exposure, and gives the wines a typical mineral note. Family atmosphere, curiosity, quality, sharing of culture and experiences, and an authentic feeling with nature are the keys to Cantina del Tufaio.

Cantina del Tufaio offers a diverse range of wines, each carrying deep personal and historical significance.

Annike: A Sauvignon Blanc named in honor of the producer's daughter, symbolizing victory. Initially bold and restless, this wine matures gracefully, achieving balance and revealing a broad bouquet of classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas after bottle aging.

Tufaio: Named after the tuff banks beneath Zagarolo, this wine celebrates the unique terroir that shapes the character of the region's wines.

Tufaio Brut: A prestigious sparkling wine produced using the classic method. Aged and refined entirely by hand in a tuff cave at a stable temperature of 12.5°C, it exemplifies artisan craftsmanship, from the remuage to the degorgement.

Ammaria: Dedicated to the producer's wife, Maria, this wine undergoes 13 months of aging in new barriques, unveiling complex aromas that evolve with every sip.

Casale Tiberio: A tribute to the land’s former owner, Tiberio, this wine honors the rich legacy of the land that helped the winery achieve exceptional results and build a lasting foundation.
