Cantine Artese traces its origins to a deep-rooted passion for winemaking that spans three generations. Founded in 2009 by Antonio Artese, the winery embodies decades of experience and a love for nature, vines, and the land. The story began in the 1950s with Gregorio Artese, who meticulously tended to a small vineyard alongside other agricultural work. This commitment and passion were passed down to Antonio, leading to the establishment of Cantine Artese, which today stands as a flourishing winery.

The vision of Cantine Artese extends beyond business — it is about living experiences, continuous evolution, and fulfilling the shared dream of Gregorio, Antonio, and now, their children: to showcase the essence of their land through exceptional wines.

The logo of Cantine Artese symbolizes both the sun and the sail, each holding deep historical significance. The sun represents Zambrone’s agricultural heritage, a town once known for its farming community. Porto Salvo, historically a center of the agricultural economy, attracted laborers from nearby towns, and its port served as a vital link for trade and cultural exchange.

The sail is a tribute to the town’s maritime history, where sailors found refuge near a historic port, now reduced to remnants. Zambrone, now a sought-after tourist destination with pristine waters, once stood as a gateway for diverse populations, cultural exchanges, and, at times, pirate raids and Saracen invasions.

Wine production spans across Zambrone and Porto Salvo, along the stunning Tyrrhenian Sea on the Coast of the Gods (Costa Bella). The wines carry the prestigious IGT Calabria designation, reflecting the rich history and quality of the region.
