About Winery and Wines

Acquired in 2009 by Didier and Olivia Le Calvez and named after their daughter, Château Clarisse is a 15-hectare estate located on the plateau of Puisseguin. Combining the elegance of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the family-run vineyard practices environmentally friendly farming and obtained organic certification in 2019. Now transitioning to biodynamic viticulture with the guidance of Jacques Fourès, the estate continues to craft exceptional wines that respect the unique clay-limestone soils of its terroir.

Château Clarisse produces wines that are recognized for their powerful yet velvety texture, a perfect expression of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Praised for their intense color, ripe fruit aromas, and a fleshy, melting palate, these wines offer long, smooth finishes. With organic certification since 2019 and a commitment to biodynamics, the estate blends traditional craftsmanship with sustainable practices, resulting in wines that beautifully embody the richness of the Puisseguin terroir.
