About Winery and Wines
The Château Cruzeau is an imposing building, was built in the 16th century by Amanieu de Labat, jurat of Libourne. It became the property of LUQUOT family in 1907. Since then, the property has been managed directly by the family with the constant concern to authentically express the qualities of the terroir ; today it is the 5th generation that invests in perpetuating this ethic.
The property produces two red wines in the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation.
Château Cruzeau is the historic wine made from a blend of Merlot and Cabernets. It is a supple and warm wine which leaves free expression of the fruit and its freshness with a slight woodiness.
Château Fleur de Jaugue comes from vines acquired in 2014 planted on clayey gravel near the Dordogne river. It is made from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine is characterized by a subtle but powerful structure which enhances the finesse, roundness and volume of the aromas of ripe fruit.
