About the Winery
Nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean sea This Baglio once belonged to the Princes of Valdina. This land was once used to make the wine Castel Calatubo which was served at the court of the Kings of Italy. This is how Cantina Chiarelli Rossotti was born, a experimentation,production of high-quality native wines, tastings.
Alessandro, deeply rooted in tradition, and his son Stefano, inspired by a journey to America, merge experience and innovation to create a unique place where wine and hospitality meet.
Together, they lead the winery and agriturismo, offering an authentic experience among nature, flavors, and warm hospitality
About the Wines
All of our wines are made from indigenous varietals certified organic.
Catarratto- still white wine made from catarratto lucio grapes (a higher quality clone of the catarrato grape). The wine from this vineyard was used to make the famous Castel Calatubo. The wine that was served at the court of the kings of Italy.
Grillo- Still white wine made from grillo grape. Once used to make Marsala now used to make an excellent still wine. Aged on the lees giving this wine an added body and complexity
Grillo Spumante- A sparkling grillo, perfect as an aperitif!
Nero d'Avola- A still red wine. Made with indigenous Nero d'Avola.
Bottle fermented Nero d'Avola- A sparkling bottle fermeted Nero d'avola, undergoing secondary fermentation in bottle.
