About Winery and Wines

Domaine de Beyssac, located on the scenic hillsides of Marmande in the Garonne Valley, spans 7 hectares in the AOP Côtes du Marmandais region. Since its establishment in 2009, the estate has focused on producing high-quality wines through environmentally conscious practices. It is certified organic (2012) and biodynamic (Demeter, 2017), emphasizing sustainable agriculture and minimal environmental impact at every stage of production. The vineyard features Merlot, Abouriou, Malbec, and Gros Manseng varietals, thriving in clay-limestone soils with ideal sunlight and a moderated oceanic climate.

The estate is dedicated to maintaining ecological harmony through careful resource management, including energy and water usage, waste treatment, and sustainable packaging choices.

At Domaine de Beyssac, the winemaking process focuses on maintaining the quality of biodynamically cultivated grapes through minimal intervention and great attention to detail. Grapes are destemmed, carefully sorted without crushing, and vinified naturally, following strict biodynamic principles with only controlled amounts of sulfites. The estate offers a diverse portfolio of wines:

Iniciau: A blend of Merlot, Malbec, and Abouriou aged in stainless steel for 11 months, emphasizing the fruitiness of the grapes.

L'Essentiel: A red blend of Abouriou and Merlot, aged six months in stainless steel and 18 months in French oak barrels. The oak adds elegance and a light wood touch to the Abouriou's natural character.

Le Monde d'Après: A range of mono-varietal reds, including pure Abouriou and Malbec, crafted to highlight simplicity and authenticity.

Folle Odyssée: A 100% Gros Manseng white, with a golden hue and aromatic intensity balanced by freshness and acidity.

L'Escapade: A rosé blend of Merlot and Malbec, with grapes, immediately pressed and vinified at low temperatures to retain its delicate flavors and the elegance of lees aging.

The red wines are unclarified and unfiltered, maintaining their natural qualities, with restrained sulfite levels kept under 50 mg/l. All wines from Domaine de Beyssac are certified organic since 2013 and biodynamic (Demeter) since 2017, ensuring sustainability and respect for the environment throughout production.
