Very interesting

Our wine tasting was very interesting because we had never before enjoyed French wine that has been aged in glass containers and kept in the sun. The lady whose family owns this small winery told the story of how this method of wine fermentation came about. I highly recommend everyone to try this experience.

Super tour guide full of knowledge in an absolutely stunning location. Nice that it’s a smaller intimate vineyard with a lot of history that’s was shared with us. The tastings were great alongside the cheese and bread with it. Again the knowledge of what cheese to try with what wine was great. Prices in the shop after were very fair. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!
Definitely try the cheese and bread with the wine pairings.

We visited this vineyard as a large group celebrating our friend’s hen. The staff were so welcoming and relaxed and we ended up staying for a lot longer than we had booked! The service was warm and it was really interesting to hear about the vineyard’s history and how it is ran today. I would recommend this lovely, rustic, scenic vineyard to anyone.

Thankyou so much for a gorgeous time, we all had such a lovely time tasting the delicious wines.

The vineyard is bucolic! The wine types unique in they way they are produced (they rest from 3 to 8 months under the sun).. The owners George and Dominique and their English guide and multi-task assistant, Ludmilla are great hosts.
Even our Shiba inu enjoyed the place so much that did not want to leave it. We will come back again next time we are in this area.
All perfect! Above expectations.

About Winery and Wines

At the Saint Jeannet vineyard, Georges Rasse offers a unique and immersive experience that blends tradition with innovation. This family-run vineyard is located at the base of the Baou de Saint Jeannet, providing visitors with a breathtaking landscape of vineyards and olive trees set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. The vineyard is dedicated to organic winemaking, and Georges Rasse has pioneered a distinctive aging process where wine is stored in glass carboys, or demijohns, and exposed to the sun. This method, which is applied to their white, red, and rosé wines, produces exceptional vintages such as the Longo Mai and Rosé Tuilé de Saint Jeannet.

Domaine des Hautes Collines offers live wine sales, tastings, and guided tours throughout the year, allowing visitors to fully engage with the winemaking process. The experience is enriched by the artistic contributions of Rémy Rasse, Georges' son, who designs the wine labels and exhibits his paintings in the tasting cellar. This adds a cultural dimension to the visit, where the art and craft of winemaking are celebrated together.

On the terrace of the estate, the sun-soaked carboys create a mesmerizing sight, symbolizing the vineyard's dedication to quality and the natural winemaking process. The Saint Jeannet vineyard, with its motto "LONGO MAÏ," meaning "May it last long," reflects a commitment to producing wines that embody the enduring spirit of the land and the family's deep-rooted connection to it. Visitors not only enjoy exceptional wines but also gain insight into a unique winemaking philosophy that harmonizes with the natural beauty and heritage of the region.

Domaine des Hautes Collines produces a variety of wines that are proudly labeled as Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) of the Alpes Maritimes and certified organic. The estate offers a range of wines, including red, white, and rosé, as well as sparkling wines made using the traditional Champagne method, and sun-aged wines that reflect the unique terroir and innovative winemaking techniques of the region.

The notable wines produced by the vineyard include Cuvée Pressoir Romain, Cuvée LONGO MaÏ, Cuvée TUILE DE SAINT JEANNET and Cuvée EFFERVESSENTE. Each of these wines reflects the vineyard’s dedication to producing high-quality, organic wines that express the character of the Alpes Maritimes region. The combination of tradition, innovation, and a deep respect for the land results in wines that are both unique and memorable.
