About Winery and Wines
Located in the heart of the Centre-Loire wine region, Domaine Eric Louis is a family estate with deep-rooted traditions, spanning four generations of passionate winegrowers. Founded in the early 20th century by Pauline Louis, the domaine now thrives under the guidance of her great-grandson, Eric, who continues the legacy with dedication and respect for the land.
Today, the estate cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards, primarily in Sancerre and Quincy, and produces wines that are true expressions of their terroir. From the flint and limestone soils of Sancerre to the sandy gravel of Quincy, each wine reflects the diversity and elegance of the Centre-Loire. The domaine’s philosophy is simple: to produce pure, precise, and elegant wines, deeply faithful to their appellations and to the unique terroirs that shape them.
Domaine Eric Louis is best known for its Sancerre wines, available in white, red, and rosé. Most cuvées are aged in stainless steel vats to preserve their freshness and aromatic precision, offering wines that are vibrant, mineral-driven, and true to their origins.
Among the highlights of our production:
Two tribute cuvées to our founder Pauline, aged in acacia and oak barrels, showcasing complexity and finesse.
Two “cuvées parcellaires”, crafted to express the pure character of our limestone and flint soils, bringing out the depth and personality of our best vineyard plots.
Beyond Sancerre, we also produce wines from other prestigious Centre-Loire appellations, including:
Quincy (5 hectares estate-owned)
Pouilly-Fumé
Menetou-Salon
Châteaumeillant
And a selection of white, red, and rosé Vins de France
Together, our portfolio offers a comprehensive journey through the Centre-Loire, celebrating the elegance, typicity, and diversity of this remarkable wine region.
