Farneto del Principe is a distinguished winery situated on a sun-kissed hill at the foot of Altomonte, a picturesque town in the province of Cosenza, Calabria. Spanning 100 hectares of organic vineyards and 5 hectares of olive groves, our estate is dedicated to the cultivation and promotion of indigenous grape varieties that have thrived in this area for thousands of years. Guiding us on this beautiful day was Giulio, professional, knowledgeable, and kind, who, in addition to describing the wine production process with precision, accompanied us through their wonderful vineyards, truly enchanting and evocative places, passionately telling the story of the place and their winery. Immediately after the visit, we continued the tour with the wine tasting accompanied by appetizers with local products; it goes without saying that every single wine we tasted was excellent. The guide's ability to make the conversation so pleasant that we lost track of time should also be highlighted, thanks also to the place and the atmosphere.
I highly recommend everyone visit their winery and stock up on their wines!

The owner gave us a noteworthy welcome; he stood out for his professionalism, expertise, kindness and extreme helpfulness!
It was possible to see the passion for the work done, the care for details and the attention to particulars.
The products offered during the tasting, besides being of evidently high quality, enhance the flavors of the raw materials used and processed through careful procedures.
It was possible to choose the types of wines to taste and, opting for the "white-rosé-red" triptych, allowed us to range among the tastes of the winery's production.
The landscapes where the vineyards are located allow you to spend the visit in complete relaxation.
The artificial lake next to which one of the company's vineyards is located helps to enrich the experience with a suggestive, romantic and characteristic nuance.
I can only highly RECOMMEND a visit to the winery and a tasting of the WINES produced!

I won't add anything else, because you absolutely have to go to see for yourselves.
Giulio, an excellent speaker, super interesting, but an excellent host. The tasting was technical but pleasant, as if you were with a friend; he had us try 3 wines based on our tastes, accompanied by local products. The cherry on top? The hippocras, a honey-spiced wine. What can I say, everything was excellent, an experience to have and to repeat with friends!

From the moment we stepped onto the picturesque vineyard grounds, we knew we were in for a treat. Giulio Paladino, is a true expert in the field, and his passion for wine was contagious. He led us through the vineyards, sharing fascinating insights into the winemaking process and the history of the winery.
Of course, the highlight of the tour was the wine tasting itself. We had the opportunity to sample a variety of wines, each more delightful than the last.
What truly stood out was his hospitality. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share his wines with us. We felt welcomed and valued as guests, which added to the overall warmth of the experience.
