About Winery and Wines

The Maugeri family, with deep roots in winemaking, has returned to the eastern slopes of Mount Etna, specifically in Milo, to revive their tradition. Their estate is uniquely positioned across two historic contrade—Volpare and Praino—at 700 meters above sea level. This area is renowned for its Carricante, the only white varietal allowed to carry the "Superiore" designation under the D.O.C. Etna. The family's vision is to honor not only Carricante but also other local varieties like Catarratto and Nerello Mascalese, showcasing their undeniable potential.

Maugeri produces five distinct wines, each reflecting the unique terroir of Milo. Their portfolio includes:
