The "Piccola Cantina Rossi" is a certified organic natural vineyard farm (AIAB Umbria), extends in the Umbrian countryside (5 hectares, four of vineyards and one olive grove), on the ridge overlooking the Tiber Valley in the hill just under the medieval village of Castello delle Forme at 270 meters above sea level, in the Municipality of Marsciano in the province of Perugia. For generations the Rossi family has been leading the company that produces natural organic wine, now the reins are in the hands of Gianpiero, Eleonora, Federica and Paola. The production is with a typical geographical indication (IGT) "Umbria": Gianpiero Rossi stresses that defending the IGT does not mean losing the quality, but defending the personality and naturalness of the result: access to the Doc presupposes treatment obligations, precisely for inserting itself in the name, it can "force" the vinification with the risk of losing the nuances of taste and sapidity obtained by the winery. With its own grapes it produces particular and natural wines (associated with VinNatur), in bottle and bag in box, in the vineyard and in the cellar no chemicals harmful to health are used. The wines contain only UVA and a minimum of sulphites, are not subjected to filtering and fermentations take place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts at cellar temperature. The wines are intended for customers who are attentive to the quality and genuineness of the product, which can be purchased in the traditional cellar sale which does not however exclude the innovative online sale. The organic certification is guaranteed in the processing carried out in the cultivation of the vineyard which has maintained the turf in the corridors between the rows.
