Ronco Calino Franciacorta
About the Winery
The place where the heart lies exists: in ours, the rows of vines gently slope down from the residence that once belonged to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, the brilliant pianist of the 20th century, and which in 1996 reawakened Paolo Radici’s youthful dream of making wine.
We are at Ronco Calino, an Oasis in Franciacorta surrounded by ten hectares of organic vineyards set on the hillside, between Cazzago San Martino, in the hamlet of Calino – Erbusco, and Adro.
Today, Paolo Radici's dream lives on in his wife, Lara Imberti, and her team: a working group that, with an average age of 30, embodies the spirit of today’s Franciacorta: lively, ambitious, passionately committed.
About the Wines
Ronco Calino is a small organic winery which produces 80 thousand bottles per year, made exclusively with grapes coming from the company-owned vineyards.
Among the varieties planted here, Chardonnay prevails, but it is Pinot Noir that finds its chosen home: the vines, caressed by breezes from Lake Iseo, yield grapes that are fragrant and fully ripe, capable of producing Franciacortas with a clear texture and a vibrant, long-lived style.
