Rostomaant Marani
About the Winery
Rostomaant Marani is a family-owned winery located in Telavi, the heart of Georgia’s Kakheti wine region. Our wine cellar lies just minutes from the village of Kurdghelauri, where our vineyard stretches across the right bank of the Alazani River, overlooking the majestic Caucasus Mountains.
We proudly continue Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition, crafting natural wines in Qvevri — ancient clay vessels buried underground. Each bottle reflects the purity of the Kakhetian terroir and the deep respect we hold for traditional methods passed down through generations.
At Rostomaant Marani, guests can enjoy wine tastings, Rtveli (harvest) celebrations, and Georgian culinary experiences, discovering how wine, food, and family come together in our culture. Our signature wines, including Rkatsiteli Amber and Saperavi Red, are often paired with homemade cheeses, jams, and chacha.
We are proud to be featured in the Lonely Planet guidebook, recognized as one of the authentic Georgian family wineries where visitors can experience the true spirit of Kakheti.
Whether you visit our cellar for a tasting or stroll through the vineyards in Kurdghelauri, Rostomaant Marani welcomes you to share in the warmth and tradition of Georgian wine.
About the Wines
At Rostomaant Marani, we craft our wines using the ancient Qvevri method, preserving Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking heritage. Every wine is made naturally, without additives, and aged in clay vessels buried beneath the earth — a technique that allows the wine to breathe and develop deep, complex flavors.
Our Rkatsiteli Qvevri Wine, made from white grapes, spends 7–9 months on the skins, creating an amber-colored wine rich in aroma, texture, and character.
Our Saperavi Red Qvevri Wine undergoes 1–5 months of skin contact, resulting in a deep, full-bodied wine with elegant tannins and notes of dark berries and spice.
In addition to our traditional Qvevri wines, we also produce fortified wines from both red and white varieties — a unique blend of wine, chacha, and grapes — offering a naturally sweet, strong, and expressive style that beautifully represents Kakheti’s creativity.
Beyond wine, we love to showcase the harmony between food and wine with our homemade products, including wine jellies made from our Rkatsiteli Amber and Saperavi Red wines, as well as traditional Georgian cheeses crafted in-house to perfectly pair with our wines.
Each product tells a story — of our land, our family, and the timeless Georgian passion for sharing wine, food, and friendship.
