Tasty and relaxed
The wines were quite unique and all of them enjoyable. Since the winery isn’t on-site, we spent more time just tasting the wines and visiting the interesting shop..
Worth a visit!

About Winery and Wines
Vini San Filippo is a testament to the Stracci family's deep-rooted connection to the land and their unwavering commitment to organic winemaking. Established in 2003 by brothers Lino and Fabrizio, who followed in the footsteps of their father, Giuseppe, the winery is located in the heart of the Piceno area in Italy. The estate's 65 hectares of vineyards are meticulously cared for by Lino, who ensures that each grape variety thrives in its specific terroir. The name "San Filippo" was chosen out of respect for the historical significance of the land, where two streams bearing the name enclosed the family’s ancestral property.
From the beginning, Vini San Filippo has embraced organic farming as its guiding principle, reflecting the broader tradition of the Piceno region, where organic practices are the norm. This commitment to preserving the natural integrity of the land extends to every bottle produced, with minimal use of sulphites to ensure that the wines are not only a pleasure to drink but also a true reflection of the land's natural biodiversity. The family’s vineyards, particularly the Passerina and Pecorino varieties, are ideally situated in the hills and streams of Offida, where the rich soil and favorable climate contribute to the creation of wines that embody the essence of Marche's rural culture. The Stracci family remains dedicated to maintaining the traditions of their ancestors while continuously striving to produce wines of exceptional quality that honor the legacy of the land they cherish.
San Filippo's wines are a true reflection of the land they come from, inspired by the rich biodiversity of the vineyards and the wildlife that thrives there. The Marches region, with its blend of tradition, nature, and culture, is perfectly captured in Offida, where the winery is located. Here, the harmony between the steep hills, vineyards, and medieval villages creates an environment that nurtures both the grapes and the local fauna.
For over 20 years, San Filippo has embraced organic farming, allowing biodiversity to flourish. Encounters with roe deer, buzzards, and other wildlife are common, highlighting the winery's deep connection to its surroundings. Each wine produced by San Filippo honors the natural elements that inhabit their lands, from the Wolf in the woods to the Buzzard soaring above the oaks.
San Filippo offers a diverse range of wines, from local favorites like Passerina and Pecorino to Italian classics such as Montepulciano and Sangiovese, as well as internationally recognized varieties like Chardonnay and Merlot. The winery's commitment to organic practices ensures that each bottle and bag-in-box product reflects the authenticity and harmony of its land.
