About the Wines

Born in the Barossa, St Hugo pays tribute to Hugo Gramp, a pioneering figure in Australian winemaking. Hugo, the grandson of Johann Gramp who founded Gramp & Sons in 1847, led the winery through remarkable growth from 1920 to 1938. His influence extended to his son Colin, who later revolutionized the Australian wine industry and launched St Hugo to honor his father’s legacy. Since its first vintage in 1980, St Hugo wines have been celebrated for their power and elegance, epitomizing the excellence of Barossa winemaking.

St Hugo winery
The ridel experience of learning which glass goes with each wine was fascinating. Didn't realise it makes a huge difference. Great fun too

Vivamente consigliato! Source: google Luigi Avantaggiato

They offer a wine lounge experience for wine tasting that start from $15 for 4 different wines from either a set from their list of you can try individual bottles for a few dollars a glass. We also received some complementary beetroot dip and crackers. It's definitely not your conventional wine tasting and its a little bit fancy. So if you know your wine I recommend you come visit St Hugo Source: google gabrielle conaghty

As a tour operator I can always guarantee St Hightower be one of my favourite places, besides the amazing building, decor and wine flights the staff are very professional and pleasant. Book your tastings off their recommendations and you will not be disappointed. Restaurant offers great service within stone walls and great meal options. Mark the head Chef is well known in the Barossa region, he has a great team and it all comes out on plates, wine matching is available and the staff are more than happy to provide these great options.

Hope to see you all there.

Regards
