Hervorragendes Gesamtpaket

About Winery and Wines
The Tallarini winery embodies a blend of art, love, and cutting-edge technology, all while maintaining a deep respect for tradition and passion for winemaking. Founded by Vincenzo Tallarini in 1983, the company began as "Il Fontanile" in an ancient village with historical buildings and a small vineyard. Initially, beekeeping was the primary activity, with over 600 hives producing honey and its derivatives. However, in 1985, Vincenzo’s passion for wine led him to produce small quantities of wine, earning recognition in wine competitions.
Motivated by this success, Vincenzo launched a significant project to build a winery in the Bergamo area, which came to fruition at the turn of the millennium. Over time, the vineyard areas expanded through collaboration with landowners in areas well-suited for high-quality grape production. Today, the winery spans several dozen hectares and is recognized for its dynamic approach, combining traditional viticulture with innovative techniques.
Now managed by the next generation, Anna and Angelo, along with their families, Tallarini winery continues to evolve, embracing modern technology while preserving the passion and love for the land that has defined the family’s legacy.
The wines of Tallarini Winery reflect the robust spirit of Bergamo, combining tradition with modern winemaking techniques. The winery, divided into three distinct areas—processing, storage, and tasting—hosts a range of wines in large steel tanks for whites and wooden barrels for reds and aging wines. Each year, the 240,000 bottles produced are carefully stored and refined, waiting to be enjoyed by wine lovers and connoisseurs alike.
Quality begins in the vineyards with low yields, precise harvest timing, and meticulous manual selection of grape bunches. In the cellar, the methods are scrupulously followed: soft pressing, cryomaceration, Bordeaux-style blending, and careful grape drying are used to produce wines of excellence. The wines are aged in small wooden barrels, barriques, and tonneaux for the reds, while the younger whites are matured in steel. Final refinement occurs in the bottle, lasting months for ready-to-drink wines or years for those meant for long aging.
Tallarini Winery's wine collection includes such wines as:
- Reds: San Giovannino Valcalepio Riserva Rosso DOC (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, separately vinified with long macerations, aged for two years in oak barrels, and refined for an additional year in the bottle before release); Arlecchino Rosso della Bergamasca IGT, San Giovannino Valcalepio Rosso Riserva DOC, Satiro Cabernet Sauvignon della Bergamasca IGT, Serafino Rosso della Bergamasca IGT, Gaetano Donizetti Valcalepio Rosso Riserva DOC.
- Whites: Arlecchino Chardonnay, Fabula Chardonnay, Assolo Moscato Giallo della Bergamasca.
- Passito: Moscato di Scanzo DOCG and Moscato Passito di Gandosso DOC.
- Sparkling wines: Crystal Rime Brut, Angelo Tallarini Brut, Franca Tallarini Brut Millesimato (2011).
