Esperienza unica!
Peccato solo che avevano finito il vino da vendere, altrimenti mi sarei preso due bottiglie di rosso!

About Winery and Wines
In the Buniccu Estate, from the winemaking passion of a couple of entrepreneurs, Gianni Addis and Silvia Muroni, Birò is born, the Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Superiore
A Vermentino obtained from grapes that ripen in a sunny land facing the sea, scented with myrtle, helichrysum, strawberry tree, and lavender. In the last century, the Estate extended for over a thousand hectares, from the first Gallura hill in the district of Trinità d'Agultu and Vignola, to the beach of Li Cossi, where Francis Ford Coppola filmed the magnificent scenes of Black Stallion and where Michelangelo Antonioni built his original dome-shaped summer residence.
The current estate, of about 100 hectares, includes a pink granite quarry and the vineyards that extend along the slope facing the sea.
It is there that the grapes of the Vermentino Birò, the reds O’Tomà and Murò ripen.
Tenuta Buniccu is a family-run business, carried forward in the smallest details by Silvia and Gianni, who founded it, together with their two children, Matteo and Sara. Matteo studies Oenology while Sara follows administrative studies.
United by a great passion for the land and its fruits, the family of Gianni and Silvia interacts with local professional realities, always seeking the excellence that distinguishes the products of this young company.
Tenuta Buniccu extends along the Provincial Road 90 that connects Castelsardo to Santa Teresa di Gallura, at km 28, in the district of Trinità d'Agultu and Vignola in Gallura. Easy to reach, even from Alghero airport and from the eastern airport of Olbia, the Costa Smeralda is in about 60 minutes.
Tenuta Buniccu's wines:
Birò – Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Superiore has the scent of the granite lands, kissed by the sea breeze that brings the saltiness to the valley and amplifies the scent of juniper. In the glass, it has a golden, bright, luminous appearance with a broad and very charming bouquet, in which the scents of citrus, lavender and helichrysum anticipate iodine and mineral notes, which are then followed by hints of Mediterranean scrub. Straw-yellow in color, Birò is ideal as an aperitif, with seafood and shellfish, served at a temperature of 8/10 C°. Elegant and consistent packaging to be present even on the most refined tables with personality and style.
O’Tomà – The name is an oxytone word with the tonic accent on the last syllable: vocative abbreviation of the name Tomaso, a tribute to Gianni's great-grandfather and father. O'Tomà IGT Colli del Limbara is a red wine with a typical local imprint; it has a personality of great caliber: sunny flavor, fragrance, and mineral identity. The scent is of scrub with notes of wild rose soaked in a purple red that reveals the small wild fruits. O’Tomà is perfect to accompany grilled meats, game, and mature cheeses. Serve at about 16° C in a large glass.
Murò – the grapes of Murò IGT Colli del Limbara Cagnulari ripen on a thin hill facing west, facing the sea. It contains the fragrances of the granite lands and the saltiness given by the mistral, all accompanied by an intense red color and hints of scrub and ripe blackberry, with a full and austere flavor. Murò is perfect to accompany typical dishes of Sardinian gastronomy, roast kid and suckling pig. Serve in a large glass at a temperature of 16°C.
