We had a lovely time tasting wines here. Outstanding wines. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff - Elodia and Bruno were extremely welcoming - with an interesting tour of the vats and barrels. Worth booking a tasting as the wines were delicious, paired nicely with a great - and unexpected - antipasto to go with it. Great day out

About Winery and Wines

Our Winery is located in the town of Poggio Mirteto (small town in the Sabina area which is twinned from 2003 with Canejan, a town located 15km from Bordeaux, France) in the province of Rieti, famous for the production of a great DOP olive oil. Easily reachable from Rome both by car and train. Tenuta Santa Lucia extends from the Sabine hills of Poggio Mirteto, in the valley of the Tevere river, and it produces a fine wine, result of care and wisdom. 45 ha of vineyards from which it collects excellent grapes to produce Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Cabernet, Alicante, Carignano, Falanghina, Sauvignon e Malvasia. Born thanks to the great effort of the Colantuono-Fiorelli family, the Vineyard was recently built following the most modern and advanced winemaking techniques. The main goal is to retrain the vineyards of the surrounding hills and to affirm and promote the potential of the Sabine wine production, already famous worldwide in olive oil production. Tenuta Santa Lucia grows only high quality wines, wines for wine lovers, wines for connoisseurs. Our wine is produced with love and dedication, from the first steps until bottling. 40 ha cultivated with different types of grapes to create different typology of wine: Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Cabernet, Alicante, Carignano, Falanghina, Sauvignon, Malvasia. The excellent production of wine is the result of a careful study on territory and of careful research on relation between production and vegetation. White Collis Pollionis, Red Collis Pollionis, Otio, Elodia, Morrone, Pecorino, Falanghina, White Miooo and Red Miooo, each of these wines has a peculiarity that make it special and excellent during a good lunch, an excellent dinner or an cheerful aperitif.
