Sassodisole Winery welcomes you to Montalcino for a wine tasting of Orcia Sangiovese DOC.

Winemakers for generations, the Terzuoli family has been producing wines since the seventeenth century, passing wisdom and experience through the generations. The family owns ten hectares of vineyards cultivated entirely with Sangiovese Grosso in the northeastern part of Montalcino, within the UNESCO park of Val d’Orcia.

The experience includes:
- Warm welcome at the winery and presentation of the Terzuoli family;
- Explanation of the location of the SassodiSole winery - within the territory of Montalcino and in the UNESCO Natural Park of Val d' Orcia;
- Visit to the winemaking cellar and explanation of fermentation and aging processes in steel;
- Visit to the barrel cellar with an explanation of the peculiarities of aging in large barrels, presentation of SassodiSole labels and wines;

Finally, you'll take a seat in Sassodisole's tasting room, where you'll have the opportunity to sample three vintages of their Orcia Sangiovese, to be enjoyed paired with Tuscan cured meats, pecorino cheese from Pienza, and bruschetta with olive oil.

Sasso di Sole Orcia Sangiovese Doc 2021 Rock, a limited edition with a label painted by a local artist and dedicated to the giants of Rock music.

In un bel pomeriggio di sole di novembre ho avuto il piacere di fare una bella sorpresa al mio compagno. Entrambi siamo rimasti stupiti positivamente della cantina Sassodisole. Siamo stati accolti dal signor Roberto con gentilezza e professionalità spiegandoci la storia e la mission a partire dal grappolo d'uva per arrivare poi al prodotto finale. Ambiente pulito e curato nei dettagli. Abbiamo fatto degustazione di tre vini accompagnati da tagliere di salumi formaggi e crostini con dell'ottimo olio di loro produzione. È stata un'esperienza indimenticabile speriamo di tornarci quanto prima
