Rate: 5 out of 5 5/1/25
The experience was amazing and I think it was the best part of our trip in Italy. Our host welcomed us very kindly, at the beginning he showed us the spectacular sunset and then we went inside the farm. There was so much delicious food, made by himself, with an incredible quality. Each piece of food was an explosion of fantastic flavours in the mouth and this accompanied by wine was spectacular. We tasted 5 different wines. All very good, but especially the last 2 were very tasty. We took a card with us and will order the wines online as they come highly recommended. I even forgot my jacket and was able to pick it up the next day. The gentleman was very nice and it is highly recommended to go there because he shares his knowledge in depth and answers every question we ask him. We are very happy to have gone there and had this experience. Thank you very much !!!!

About Winery and Wines

In the heart of Sardinia’s Romangia region, nestled among the rolling hills and kissed by the sea breeze of the Asinara Gulf, Vini TraMonti tells a story of passion, perseverance, and deep-rooted tradition.

The journey began in 1937, when Salvatore Marogna, armed with determination and little more than his hands, cleared and prepared the rugged land of Tres Montes to plant his first vineyard. His dream was simple yet profound: to craft wines that spoke of his land’s soul.

Today, that dream lives on through his son, Antonio Marogna. With a spirit as determined as his grandfather’s, Antonio continues to cultivate the vineyards with the same respect for nature and tradition. His work honors the slow, patient rhythms of the earth: vineyards are tended manually, seasonal cycles are observed, and biodynamic practices are embraced to preserve the integrity of the soil and vines. In the cellar, patience reigns — no filtration, just time and nature perfecting the wines.

At the heart of the winery is Badde Pira, a stunning estate of over four hectares acquired in 2010. It is here that visitors can wander among ancient vines, feel the warmth of the Sardinian sun, and be immersed in the authentic rhythms of rural life. Antonio personally welcomes guests, sharing not just his wines, but the rich stories, traditions, and landscapes that make Romangia a hidden gem of the island.

The Marogna family's passion radiates through everything they do — from the care lavished on the vineyards to the heartfelt hospitality they extend to every visitor. At Vini TraMonti, wine isn’t just a product — it’s a living memory of Sardinia, bottled with love and offered with pride.

At Vini TraMonti, every bottle tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and excellence — a quality that has been recognized and celebrated with multiple awards over the years. The winery’s portfolio showcases the best of Sardinia’s native grapes, crafted with a deep respect for the land and an unwavering commitment to authenticity.

Among their standout wines is the Cagnulari IGT "Isola dei Nuraghi", a bold and characterful expression of one of the island’s rarest indigenous varieties.
Their Cannonau di Sardegna DOC delivers a robust yet elegant interpretation of Sardinia’s flagship grape, celebrated for its structure and depth.
The Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Rosato offers a fresh, vibrant alternative, combining the character of Cannonau with delicate fruit notes and a crisp, refreshing finish — a rosé that has won acclaim for its balance and aromatic finesse.
The Vermentino di Sardegna DOC captures the lively spirit of the Mediterranean, offering a bright and aromatic white wine that consistently impresses wine lovers and judges alike.
Completing the collection is the Bianco Passito, crafted from Moscato Bianco grapes grown in Sorso — a wine of exceptional finesse and complexity, awarded an extraordinary 97.2/100 in the Guide to the Best Wines of Sardinia 2025 by Vinodabere.

Each label not only honors the centuries-old winemaking heritage of the Romangia region but also stands as a testament to the passion, skill, and vision that drive Vini TraMonti to the highest levels of recognition in Italy and beyond.
