Alpaca Encounter and Wine Tasting at Cantina Santo Iolo
Here is what's in store for you
This experience at Cantina Santo Iolo begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m., starting at the winery with a guided walk through the vineyards (10–15 minutes with some elevation gain) leading to the animal enclosures.
Your first encounter is with our curious yet shy alpacas. With a bit of patience, you will be able to feed them and gently pet them. The tour continues to the chicken coop, home to 25 ornamental chickens from around the world — each with its own name and story. The final stop is the pen of our friendly donkeys, always happy to receive attention and a small treat.
After visiting the animals, you will walk back to the winery (10–15 minutes with elevation gain) for a guided cellar tour followed by a wine tasting. The tasting offered this Saturday is our Plus Tasting, which includes four wines paired with a platter of locally sourced cured meats, cheeses, and appetizers.
