Cantine Astroni Wine Tour in Campi Flegrei, between Naples and Pozzuoli
Here is what's in store for you
The Astroni Tour offers a complete journey following the grape from the vineyard to the bottle, allowing you to discover the unique volcanic terroir of the Campi Flegrei. Just 10–15 minutes from the bustling streets of Naples, you'll find yourself surrounded by nature, vineyards, and one of Italy's most fascinating volcanic landscapes.
Accompanied by a qualified member of the hospitality team, you'll begin with a visit to the vineyard, located on the slopes of one of the approximately 70 volcanic craters that characterize the Campi Flegrei and form part of the WWF Italy Nature Reserve. Here you'll learn about the area's geology, volcanic soils, and vine-growing techniques while enjoying panoramic views of Mount Vesuvius, the Sorrento Peninsula, and Capri. The vineyard is reached via a steep stepped path due to the crater's natural terrain, although during periods of extreme heat guests may request to be driven there by car.
The tour continues through the underground winery, where you'll discover the main stages of winemaking and learn why Cantine Astroni vinifies both white and red wines exclusively in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal character. You'll also visit the former barrel cellar, now transformed into the evocative Wine Library, displaying historic vintages, amphorae, original labels, and artwork by a Neapolitan artist. Whenever production allows, you'll also see the bottling area; during bottling operations or harvest, access may be limited for safety reasons and the itinerary may vary slightly.
The experience concludes in the tasting room with a guided tasting of three wines:
Astro – Spumante di Falanghina Campi Flegrei DOC
Colle Imperatrice – Campi Flegrei Falanghina DOC
Colle Rotondella – Campi Flegrei Piedirosso DOC
The tasting is presented in an approachable and engaging way, focusing on the story of each wine and its connection to the territory. Guests looking for a more technical tasting, including professional terminology and technical sheets, can simply request it in the booking notes.
The wines are accompanied by traditional taralli, the perfect local pairing to complete the experience.

!!! IMPORTANT:
When using Google Maps, please make sure to select Cantine Astroni and NOT Tenuta Astroni. The two locations are very close, but it’s easy to confuse them when in a hurry.
Once you arrive at Via Sartania 48, you will see a fairly steep uphill road.
Drive all the way up: the designated parking area is located on the left.
Warning: Do not continue straight past the parking area — you will enter the vineyard, where there is no space to turn around.
After parking, you will see two directional signs:
• One pointing uphill towards the vineyard
• One pointing downhill towards the winery
Please follow the sign to the winery and proceed down the stairs. At the bottom, you will find the entrance and the starting point of the tour.
For cars, minivans, scooters, motorcycles, and pedal-assist bicycles: no access issues. You may comfortably use the main entrance at Via Sartania 48, where a marked parking area is available.
