Bologna 4 days Gourmet escape

Discover Bologna, the Italian Capital of Food, on a private 4-day tour that includes a guided tour of the city and its medieval city center, as well as a tasting of its  traditional local food such as cold cuts, ragu' alla Bolognese, and Lasagne. Apart from eating, there is lots to do in Bologna city, such as appreciating the UNESCO-listed porticoes (covered, arched pathways) (some date back to the Middle Ages) and walking around the wonderful San Petronio Square. 

ITINERARY : 

DAY 1 - Arrival in Bologna and Welcome Dinner

Welcome to Bologna, the capital city of Emilia Romagna! At your arrival you'll be greeted by our local driver who'll bring you to the city center at this beautiful 4 star hotel. After check in you relax and enjoy a special welcome drink and afternoon/evening leisure, before reaching a close-by  restaurant for a dinner with 4 courses menù. Back to the hotel and overnight

DAY 2 -  Bologna food and walking tour 

After breakfast in hotel you meet with your guide and begin a private tour where you will learn about the history, culture, architecture that makes Bologna medieval market so special and unique. Your local tour guide will unveil to you the secrets, recipes and you’ll enjoy a variety of food specialties that has secured Bologna’s reputation as being the foodie capital of Italy. You’ll be able to taste a pasta dish, local cold cuts, 1 glass of Lambrusco wine, coffee and the typical Majani Chocolate. Rest of the day at leisure (we have different options to offer you). Dinner in a typical restaurant and Overnight 

DAY 3 - Parmigiano Reggiano or Balsamic Vinegar Factory tour  

Today, after breakfast in hotel, you meet our private driver at the hotel’s lobby . Today you can choose between an interesting Parmigiano Reggiano factory tour where you’ ll be able to taste three different types of Parmigiano (12,18,24 months old) or a typical Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Experience followed by a tasting . After the 4 hours experience return back to your Hotel in Bologna. Time at leisure. Overnight

DAY 4 - Departure 

Breakfast in hotel. Private transfer to Bologna airport or rail station and end of this Gourmet Escape
