Welcome to Sassodisole Winery. Winemakers for generations, the Terzuoli family has been engaged in the production of wines from the seventeenth century, passing wisdom and experience through the generations. The family owns ten hectares of vineyards cultivated entirely with Sangiovese Grosso in the northeastern part of Montalcino, within the UNESCO park of Val d’Orcia.

The experience includes:
- Warm welcome at the winery and presentation of the Terzuoli family;
- Explanation of the location of the SassodiSole winery - within the territory of Montalcino and in the UNESCO Natural Park of Val d' Orcia;
- Visit to the winemaking cellar and explanation of fermentation and aging processes in steel;
- Visit to the barrel cellar with an explanation of the peculiarities of aging in large barrels, presentation of SassodiSole labels and wines;

The experience ends in the comfortable tasting room of Sassodisole for a tasting of 3 wines:
- Rosé Sparkling Wine
- Orcia Sangiovese DOC
- Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Accolti in maniera egregia nella bellissima location, la visita alla cantina é stata molto interessante e tecnica, sebbene informale e simpatica.
Poi la degustazione é stata sorprendente per l'ottima qualità dei vini.
Ci hanno fatto assaggiare anche un paio di vini in piú del previsto, tra cui il Riserva davvero fantastico.
Comprato vino e olio, consiglio a tutti sia la visita/degustazione in cantina sia i prodotti Sassodisole.

Thanks for a wonderful wine tasting and tour. The location I fantastic and easy to find ( just 20 mins form the town of Montalcino) . The tour was very informative and interesting and the wine tasting experience was great. We tried 4 wines with some bread and olive oil, just right! the wines were very good and we bought bottles of the Rose.

Siamo stati all’azienda sassodisole per fare una degustazione di 3 vini tipici della zona ed è stata un’esperienza fantastica! Tommaso ci ha guidato prima nella cantina spiegandoci tutto il processo che parte dall’uva all’imbottigliamento per poi passare nella sala dove abbiamo provato i vini, uno meglio dell’altro!
Super consigliato sia per la qualità dei prodotti che per il servizio informale e disponibile!
Consiglio anche l’acquisto dei prodotti direttamente dopo la degustazione, per portare a casa questa esperienza sotto tutti i punti di vista.
