Private tour - Classic Ikarian Winery Tour & Tasting at Afianes Wines
Here is what's in store for you
Join a privately guided experience at Afianes Wines and discover the rich history, traditions, and ancient techniques of Ikarian winemaking. During the visit, you will explore the winery’s most distinctive spaces, including the traditional granite press, the clay amphorae used for wine fermentation, and the cultural museum dedicated to Ikarian life and winemaking heritage.
The tour also includes a visit to landmarks such as the amphitheatre and the historic anti-pirate stone house, offering a deeper insight into the island’s past and the unique identity of Afianes Wines. Along the way, you will learn more about the winery’s commitment to producing organic and natural wines that reflect the character of Ikaria and its terroir.
The experience continues with a guided tasting of 4 Afianes wines from different vintages and styles, paired with traditional rusks baked in a wood-fired oven. For an even richer tasting experience, a platter of local Ikarian cheeses and cured meats can be added at an extra charge.
