"Clay & Limestone" is a fantastic and exclusive wine experience, a journey through the old vintages of Cantine Polvanera.

The vines located in Acquaviva delle Fonti are characterized by two different soil types, clay and limestone, which can be felt in the glass with multiple scents. This is an unmissable experience for those who want to understand the evolution of Cantine Polvanera's Primitivo.

After a welcome glass of sparkling wine, you will be taken on a tour of the cellar. Next, you will enjoy a tasting of:
- 2 Polvanera 16 DOC Gioia del Colle old vintage
- 1 Polvanera 16 DOC Gioia del Colle current vintage
- 2 Polvanera 17 DOC Gioia del Colle old vintage
- 1 Polvanera 17 DOC Gioia del Colle current vintage

The wines will be accompanied by a typical Apulian lunch consisting of:
- Samples of typical local products like cereal frise with garlic and tomato sauce, garnished with cherry tomatoes and arugula, zucchini and mint frittata, capocollo and cheese

A great discovery, suggested by a wine professional friend of mine. This relatively young winery made an amazing job in creating a huge underground cellar carved into a bedrock of limestone, and invested in high quality organic Primitivo (and some additional regional wines). They are included in many top 100 winery lists worldwide. Don't miss it if you are looking for some great Apulian wines.
