Discover the depth and character of Taurasi with a vertical tasting at Cantine Gerardo Perillo in the heart of Irpinia.
The experience begins with a welcome at the winery and a visit to the estate vineyards, often accompanied by producer Gerardo Perillo, where you will learn more about the family story of Cantine Perillo and its deep connection with this land. Please note that in case of bad weather the visit of the vineyards will not be possible and will be skipped.
The visit continues in the cellar, a place where Aglianico is transformed, aged, and given time to express its full complexity.
The experience concludes in the estate's wine shop with a guided vertical tasting of Taurasi DOCG Don Salvatore vintages from 2012 to 2018. Made from Aglianico, Taurasi is a powerful and deeply expressive red wine, often considered one of the great wines of southern Italy. Tasting different vintages side by side allows you to follow its evolution over time, from intensity and structure to more mature notes, depth, and elegance.
A platter of local products is available as an optional add-on for those who would like to complete the experience with local flavors.
