"Discovering Chianti" Tour & Wine Tasting at Buccia Nera in Arezzo
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience at the organic Buccia Nera winery begins with a short introduction among the vineyards in the heart of Tuscany.
You'll be hosted by a member of the Mancini family, who runs the winery, or by one of their hospitality team members. They will guide you on a tour of the cellar, explaining Buccia Nera’s production philosophy and their organic winemaking practices.
After the tour, you'll take a seat in the estate’s tasting room for the guided tasting. Here, you will taste three distinct expressions of Chianti, designed to highlight the differences within the appellation: a Chianti DOCG “Sassocupo”, a Chianti Superiore DOCG, and a Chianti Riserva DOCG.
The tasting is accompanied by Tuscan bread and Buccia Nera’s own organic extra virgin olive oil. If you select the food pairing option, your tasting will also include a selection of Tuscan cured meats and cheeses like prosciutto, salame, and pecorino, along with bruschetta with truffle sauce and another with tomato and basil. Children and teenagers are welcome and will be offered Tuscan bread with the estate's extra virgin olive oil.

A last-minute decision to do a wine tasting tour
Roberta kindly adjusted the tour to suit our timing restrictions and language barriers.
Her English was great and her insightful knowledge really helped us understand more about the wine-making process. We loved learning about Vinsanto production too. She guided us incredibly well during the wine tasting section too, explaining to us the difference between wines and aging.
The location was breathtaking and so worth the drive!
The price-service ratio was exceptional!
