During this experience taking place in a Royal Palace in the heart of Genova, you will learn how to make pesto in a mortar, starting with fresh ingredients narrated and contextualized, and taste it with Genoese focaccia and then with trofiette, a traditional pasta, freshly cooked.
A matching glass of local white wine, duly presented and narrated, and traditional inland canestrelli cookies conclude the experience. Art and Food are at the center of the experience, contextualizing food, and proposing it as a key to understanding the past of Genoa and Liguria. Stories, anecdotes, legends, recipes from the past, and ancient books are what will characterize the class.
A visit to the precious halls of the palace that hosts the pesto class, although brief, will be an integral part of the experience. Discover a building built in the second half of the 16th century, belonging to the Rolli system, a Unesco heritage site since 2006.
