Esperienza consigliata!!!
Esperienza consigliata!

Sobre la bodega y los vinos
The history of the F.lli Massucco winery, located in the Roero area, starts from the early 1900s, years in which it began to cultivate the vineyards that surround the cellar and from which some of the most important and well-known Piedmonts wines are born. In the years to come the family has always continued the work in the cellar, handing down the traditions from generation to generation up to the present day where the cellar is managed by the fifth generation of the family.
The wines that come from the cellar are the result of years of work and experimentation while remaining faithful to the tastes and flavours of the Roero area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Over the years the Massucco family has been able to enhance the flavours of tradition and make them their own, while remaining faithful to the tastes and needs of consumers and without ever leaving the DOC and DOCG regulations.
Our philosophy is to embrace innovation and combine it with tradition, always having respect for the land and the territory in which we live.
Massucco wines want to remain as "genuine" as possible, we want the wine to release its perfume and scents without altering their normal nature. For this reason, the choice to vinify in steel, which allows us to maintain the aromas and flavours of the territory and of the grapes. Some reds then pass into cement tanks to refine and others pass into 3500-litre French oak barrels and 225-litre French oak barriques.
We personally take care of all the procedures, the planting of the vineyard, the preparation of the land and the sowing of the cuttings. We use the Guyot training system, the various procedures are all done manually, after the manual harvest we wait for the leaves to fall and in mid-winter the vine is pruned strictly by hand. In June, a second green pruning follows.
We produce red and white wines but among the proposed labels there are also classic methods, grappa, chinatos and vermouths.
We take care of our approximately 20 hectares of vineyards by joining "The Green Experience", a certifying body that certifies procedures aimed at preserving our territory. There are many "interventions", mowing the grass which allows us not to use herbicides, sowing legumes in the ground, installing nests for birds and insects, floriculture for insects which help us understand many things about vine, up to the tracing of more than 100 principles that must not be present inside the plant.
The Massucco winery produces one hundred and fifty thousand bottles a year, using six types of different varieties: Arneis, Favorita, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo. Our production is divided into different types of bottles. We go from a softer and more direct line, called "Langhe", passing through our classic Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, the latter two can also be found in their "Superiore" versions with aging in French oak for many months. Finally we come to our most important, most characteristic line which is made so by our territory, the Roero. Here we find our Roero Arneis, Roero and Roero Riserva.
