"Essence" Escape: 1 night at Sorrentino Vini in Naples

Your stay is at Vesuvio Inn, the farmhouse on the Sorrentino family's estate in Boscotrecase, set among the vineyards and olive groves of Vesuvius National Park. You will be on the property run by the family of founder Paolo Sorrentino and Angela Cascone, whose children now manage the estate: Giuseppe leads the company, Benny is the winemaker, and Maria Paola oversees hospitality.

After checking in, your afternoon is free to explore the vineyard surroundings and the views of Mount Vesuvius. As dinner is not included, the evening is yours to plan. The next morning, a full breakfast is served, featuring a sweet and savory selection of fresh bread, cured meats, cheeses, vegetables, eggs, homemade cakes, estate jams, honey, yogurt, and seasonal fruit.

Included in your stay is the Classic Wine Tasting at Sorrentino Vini, led by a member of the hospitality team. In the winery's tasting room, you will sample three Vigna Lapillo wines, each a different expression of the Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio DOC Superiore appellation. The tasting starts with the Vigna Lapillo Bianco, a white wine from Caprettone, Greco, and Falanghina grapes. It continues with the Vigna Lapillo Rosato, a rosé of Piedirosso and Aglianico, before concluding with the Vigna Lapillo Rosso, a red from the same grapes, offering a richer character from the volcanic landscape.
