"Essence" escape: 1 night at Vigne del Malina Agriturismo

Your two-day wine escape takes place at Vigne del Malina Agriturismo, a family-run winery in Orzano di Remanzacco, set in the Friuli countryside between Udine and Cividale del Friuli. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a member of the hospitality team and settle into your accommodation, a choice between a comfortable Standard Room or a more spacious Suite.

The estate is rooted in the Grave Friulane appellation, where stony alluvial soils and cool air from the nearby Pre-Alps create wines of freshness, structure, and distinct minerality. The family has farmed this land since the 1960s, guided by a simple philosophy: giving wine the time it needs. Every wine is produced from the property’s own vineyards and released only when they consider it ready.

Your stay includes a guided visit to the winery, where you'll learn about the production and aging process that defines the Vigne del Malina style. The tour is followed by a seated tasting of six wines in the estate's tasting room. The selection is designed to offer a broad introduction to their work, featuring whites like Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon; reds such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso; and a Merlot rosé. The tasting also highlights the estate's distinctive skin-contact wines, like the copper-hued Pinot Grigio Ram and the golden, structured Chardonnay Aur. The wines are served with a selection of local products, including cured meats from D’Osvaldo.

In the morning, you will enjoy a breakfast with a sweet and savory selection, including eggs, cured meats, cheese, fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and seasonal fruit.
