Tenuta del Gelso is one of the estates of Tenute Mannino di Plachi, a flagship for Etna wines.

This tasting experience at Tenuta del Gelso begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the winery and to the winemaking history of the Mannino family, closely linked to the territory full of charm and tradition that is Etna.

You will then visit the ancient Palmento of the estate, a place belonging to the Sicilian winemaking tradition, with roots in the Greek era. Here you will hear stories of how a regular day in the life of a winemaker and farmer was in the early 1800s, especially during the most important period of the year: the grape harvest.

Your wine tasting will take place inside the ancient Palmento of Tenuta del Gelso as well. Here you will be served four Etna DOC labels of Tenute Mannino di Plachi: two white wines, one rosé and one red. The tasting will be paired with a selection of typical Sicilian gastronomic specialties of their production and a tasting of their own extra virgin olive oil Oro di Plachi. The expert staff of Tenute Mannino will guide you through the tasting and share with you the philosophy behind their production, telling you the story of a territory rich in history, beauty and charm.
