Prosecco Hills Tour with Lunch in a Family Osteria, from Venice

Your day begins with an independent train journey from Venice to Conegliano, with tickets provided for you. At the Conegliano station, you'll be met by your guide, Giulia or her husband, both locals with a deep connection to the Prosecco Hills, its traditions, and its wines. They will be your hosts for the entire tour.

From the station, you'll travel to your first stop: a family-owned winery in the heart of the UNESCO-listed landscape. Here, you'll learn about the production methods behind high-quality Prosecco before settling in for a guided tasting of four different sparkling wines. Depending on the weather, the tasting takes place in the dedicated tasting room, the garden, or directly among the vines.

Next, the tour continues to a family-run osteria for a generous lunch built on recipes passed down through generations. The meal starts with a selection of eight antipasti featuring local specialties like sopressa and Monte Veronese cheese. This is followed by handmade pasta with a seasonal sauce and the traditional 'spiedo', meat slow-cooked by the fireplace. Lunch is served with both Prosecco and a local Cabernet red wine, and concludes with dessert. Younger participants are welcome and can choose from the restaurant's menu, with non-alcoholic drinks available.

After lunch, you'll make a final stop at one of the most scenic viewpoints in the Prosecco Hills. It's an opportunity to take in the landscape of vineyard-covered slopes before your tour concludes.
