Best Afternoon in Sardinia

We had an amazing afternoon with Giuseppe! He was friendly, welcoming, and so knowledgeable about the winemaking process. He thoughtfully prepared for our friends' 15 month old baby as I had put in the notes. He went above and beyond with the tastings and food to accompany; we especially enjoyed the sapa made by his mother! We loved meeting Fly the puppy and Giuseppe's son who inspired the Giuà Cannonau.

It was super super nice expérience! We all enjoyed it really much. We had the opportunity to learn about the wine but also about the history of Sardinia with Giuseppe. He explained a lot to us, about wine and also about the food we ate. We all agreed that it was the best experience we had in Sardinia to be honest!

Giuseppe is the best host. He explained the process of wine-making very well, answered all of our wine-related questions and we had a very pleasant chat. We also got to feast with the cutest dog!
To reach the vineyard you need a good car - it’s a dirt road up a hill. Maybe you should put that information here.

A great local wine experience

I had a lovely time. We did this tour on our last day and really ended our vacation in the best way. You get to take a look at the vineyard and see where the wine itself is made and afterwards you get to experience some great wine in Giuseppes' company with local delicacies. He will answer all your questions and talk about his true passion of wine making and the joys of life. I would pick this tour again over a bigger winery tour as this was a true experience!

L'azienda vinicola Lecis si trova a Soleminis, un piccolo paese nella parte meridionale della Sardegna a circa 20 km da Cagliari. Circondata dai suoi verdi vigneti che si estendono su una superficie di circa 25 ettari, questa azienda vinicola è posizionata su una collina a più di 300 metri sul livello del mare: questo garantisce un microclima ideale per la coltivazione della vite e previene le malattie delle piante, garantendo così vini di alta qualità.

L'azienda agricola Lecis coltiva uve rosse e bianche di varietà locali e di fama internazionale; nello specifico, si trovano le seguenti: Cannonau, Carignano, Merlot, Cabernet, Barbera e Monica rappresentano i rossi, mentre Nuragus, Vermentino, Moscato, Malvasia e Chardonnay i bianchi. I terreni sono generalmente lavorati meccanicamente, ma affinati manualmente: la nostra attenzione ai dettagli durante la vendemmia, che è completamente gestita a mano, è fondamentale per ottenere un risultato eccellente. I programmi di vendemmia e le successive fasi di fermentazione, a temperatura rigorosamente controllata, contribuiscono a un livello molto basso di solfiti; questi sono misurati nella misura minima necessaria per regolare il ciclo di vita di un vino imbottigliato.
