The Dual Soul of Talestri: Winery Tour & Wine Tasting in Valpolicella

Your experience at Talestri, a family-run winery, begins with a walk through the vineyards on San Briccio hill, where you can observe the area's distinctive volcanic soil. You'll be guided by a professional sommelier from the hospitality team, who will share first-hand knowledge of the family and their work.

You will then visit the winemaking facilities and the oak-barrel cellar. Here, you'll learn about the two production styles that define Talestri: the historic sparkling wine tradition and the renowned red wine production of Valpolicella, which creates the estate’s iconic Amarone. During the visit, you might meet family members like sisters Lisa and Francesca, who manage the winery.

The tour concludes in the panoramic tasting room overlooking the vineyards. You will enjoy a guided tasting of three Talestri wines: 'Istinto', a Metodo Classico sparkling wine; 'Determinazione', a Valpolicella Superiore DOC; and 'Passione', an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. The wines are paired with a selection of artisanal products from the Verona and Lessinia areas, such as Monte Veronese DOP cheese, Soppressa Veneta, and olive pâté, all sourced from small local producers.

For children aged 3 to 7, a fruit juice and a sandwich with cooked ham or artisanal preserve are available. Young participants from 8 to 17 can take part in a blind tasting of three fruit juices, using a dedicated game to identify the fruits and complete a tasting sheet like a real sommelier.
