We invite you to discover each process of our winery, philosophy, and low-intervention wines with our Origins Wine Experience at Atavus in Priorat.
We are a small artisan winery with a strong commitment to the environment. Our wines are crafted from certified organic grapes following biodynamic techniques. Additionally, we strive to add the fewest or zero additives to our wines, aiming to make them as natural as possible, honoring the practices of our ancestors. To achieve the maximum expression from root to fruit, which you will later enjoy in your glass.
The Atavus Origins Wine Experience begins with a guided tour of the production areas, where we will learn about the necessary steps to craft our low-intervention wines and the philosophy behind them.
After the tour, we will move to the spectacular tasting room with 360º breathtaking views of Priorat and its natural beauty. Here, indulge in the tasting of 7 of our wines, including two different appellations, complemented with a delicious appetizer of locally sourced gastronomic products such as cold cuts, cheeses, and hazelnuts.

Free top up of snacks and wine, so eat and drink and chat to your hearts content. If stay at hotel nearby, free drop off for the whole experience.
A walk to the vineyard to see the plants close up and taste the natural wine berries would be nice if included in the wine tour.

Excellent English Language Tour
We tried several wines, and we both enjoyed the blends more than the single varietals. Having said that, my wife loves syrah, and Atavus has a single varietal syrah that she enjoyed. This came as a surprise, as other wineries reported inconsistent results with their syrah, and therefore only used it as a small component of their blends.
The tasting room is very bright and full of light, with good views of the vineyards.
