Art & Wine Tasting with Villa Tour at Palazzo Montanari in Valpolicella

Your experience at Palazzo Montanari begins with a walk through the historic 'brolo', the vineyard surrounding the Venetian villa where the estate's grapes are grown. A member of the family or their hospitality team will then guide you through the rooms of the Palazzo, a historic residence in the heart of Valpolicella, and the 'appassimento' room where grapes are left to dry.

The visit concludes on the panoramic terrace, sheltered by the portico, or in one of the frescoed indoor rooms, depending on the weather. Here, you will have a guided tasting of four estate wines: Valpolicella DOC Classico, Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico, and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG Classico. The tasting is complemented by the estate's own extra virgin olive oil.

To enhance the experience, you can add a platter of local products. This typically includes three cured meats like Venetian soppressa and speck from the Lessini Mountains, and three cheeses such as Monte Veronese and Grana Padano. The selection is served with homemade jams prepared by Susanna, the owner, bread, and grissini. For children, a juice or tea is available, along with snacks like bread with olive oil and traditional sbrisolona cake.
