Here is what's in store for you
Upon arriving in Frascati, a member of the Minardi family will warmly welcome you. A transfer will take you to the Minardi Wine Farmhouse, just a 5-minute drive from the station, where the experience begins with an engaging pasta-making class led by an expert chef.
Once you've donned your apron, the chef will guide you in creating three traditional local pasta varieties from scratch: “Ravioli” stuffed with fresh local ingredients, “Fettuccine,” and “Maltagliati.” You'll also learn secrets and tips passed down through generations, including recipes from the chef’s grandmother.
After the class, enjoy a guided tasting of boutique wines from the Minardi winery, including Frascati Superiore DOCG white wine and Vagnolo IGP red wine, made from 100% Cesanese grapes. These wines will be paired with the family’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil, local cheese, and wine jam. Following the tasting, take a tour of the historic vineyards, where you’ll discover traditional winemaking techniques the Minardi family has preserved for centuries. The farmhouse now serves as a “Frascati Wine Museum,” surrounded by ancient vineyards and olive groves.
A delicious lunch prepared by the chef will include various local seasonal appetizers and the three pastas made during the class. The meal will also feature an artisanal Frascati dessert, white wine, and water. Vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options are available upon request when booking.
At the end of the experience, a transfer will bring you back to the Frascati center, where you can catch the train back to Rome (with departures every hour). This experience at Minardi Winery promises to be a unique and memorable one, set in the charming hills surrounding the Eternal City!
