Vineyard Picnic and Wine Tasting at Coali in Valpolicella Classica
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience in Valpolicella Classica begins with a welcome from your hosts, Marina or Silvia Savoia. They will guide you on a walk through the vineyards and into the winery, explaining the family's philosophy and the traditional methods behind their winemaking.
During the autumn months, the tour includes a visit to the 'fruttaio', the drying room where the grapes for Amarone are left to dry naturally before being pressed. Following the tour, you will settle in for your picnic at a dedicated spot among the vines, with a view of the historic village of San Giorgio Ingannapoltron.
You will have a guided tasting of three of the estate's representative wines: a Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2022, a Ripasso della Valpolicella DOC 2019, and an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2020. Your picnic basket is prepared with a platter of local products from the Verona area, usually including Monte Veronese DOP cheese, Soppressa Veneta, and other locally made salami and pancetta, along with a dessert.
