Wine Tasting
My husband and I, in August, did a private wine tasting at Villa Le Prata in Montalcino. The villa and the vineyards are beautiful, and the property has remained with the same family for generations. Beautiful explanation of the Brunello wines by Giada, she was excellent. An extraordinary experience to definitely do again.

Best experience in our trip
We had a simply delightful afternoon visiting the winery. Multi-course Meals were served to us graciously while we relaxed under the trees in the garden. We tried 16 different wines, nearly all of which were excellent. It was a perfect afternoon, and hosted wonderfully by the owner who clearly loved what he and his family were doing

Not really a winery
It's not a winery visit, it's really a bar-hall where they pour you glasses of port, they explain how each one is made and then you just drink as if it were a bar. There were 4 different ones with chocolates, served cold and the glasses were quite full.

The visit to the winery is quite brief, although it's pretty. The tasting (in my case, 3 wines) is simply them putting the glasses in front of you and a brief chat. The wines were not cool, so the Port loses quite a bit.

Very beautiful - to be repeated
It was a truly beautiful experience. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed to the estate in their outdoor space, with an exceptional view of the valley, the vineyards and the apple orchards.
Afterwards the tour with the guide began, passing first through the vineyard and then into the cellar, explaining in detail and in particular the whole history of the family and the estate, very interesting.
Then we moved on to the wine tasting during lunch.
Everything was very good, from the food to the explanation of the wines, which was very exhaustive. An experience definitely to be repeated.
