"Riserva" Full day tour in Prosecco Valdobbiadene from Treviso or Venice

This full-day tour takes you into the UNESCO-listed hills of Valdobbiadene to explore expressions of Prosecco far beyond the everyday sparkling wine. The itinerary covers three wineries, showing the evolution from traditional methods to contemporary styles.

You'll be picked up either in Venice or Treviso  and then your first stop is at Bastia Valdobbiadene, dedicated to Colfondo, the area's traditional bottle-refermented wine. Unlike modern Prosecco, which undergoes its second fermentation in tanks, this style finishes fermenting in the bottle and is left on its lees. A member of the hospitality team will guide you through a vertical tasting of three different vintages of Colfondo, allowing you to observe how bottle aging develops the wine's character from fresh fruit to more complex notes. The tasting is accompanied by artisan breadsticks and water.

The second visit is to Il Casale Wine Experience by Colline Guizzette, a family estate with roots in the Cartizze area dating back to the 19th century. In their panoramic tasting room overlooking the vineyards, you will taste five different wines from the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG spectrum: Sui Lieviti, Extra Brut, Brut, Extra Dry, and the Superiore di Cartizze DOCG. Each wine is paired with a seasonal cicchetto, demonstrating how dosage and vineyard origin create distinct profiles within the same territory. Water and taralli are also served.

The day concludes at Rivaluce in San Pietro di Barbozza. After a visit to the winery and its terrace, you will have their Grand Experience. This tasting provides a modern counterpoint, featuring four sparkling wines paired with freshwater fish delicacies from a local Sile River producer and traditional Pan da Vin crackers. The lineup includes a Rive di San Pietro di Barbozza Extra Brut, a Millesimato Extra Dry, a Brut, and a Prosecco DOC Treviso Rosé Brut, showcasing both site-specific expressions and a rosé style.

At the end of the last tasting transfer back to Venice or Treviso.
