Vinsanto Tasting with Vinsantaia Tour at Castello di Coiano in Castelfiorentino

Your host, Tommaso, the owner of Castello di Coiano, will welcome you for a focused tasting dedicated to one of Tuscany's most traditional wines. Your experience begins with the castle's historic "vinsantaia" tour. Discover this special room with the traditional chestnut barrels, called "caratelli", in which Vinsanto rests for at least three to four years.
Surrounded by this atmospheric setting, Tommaso will guide you through a tasting of two wines: the Vinsanto del Chianti DOC, made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, and the rare Vinsanto 'Occhio di Pernice' DOC from Sangiovese grapes. The tasting is paired with traditional Tuscan almond cantuccini and concludes with a taste of Grappa del Chianti.

Where we are and how to reach us
Upon arriving at the estate, enter through one of the three open gates and follow the signs to the 'administration' area, which is the meeting point.
Free parking is available on-site. The castle is not easily reached by public transport, so arriving by car or taxi is recommended.
