Tasting of 3 Wines at Torre de Palma Wine Hotel in the Alto Alentejo

Herdade Torre de Palma is a wine hotel and winery located in Monforte, in the heart of the Alto Alentejo wine region.

The project of Herdade Torre de Palma's winemaker, Duarte de Deus, focuses on producing author wines that respect the Terroir, practically made by hand, in small batches, and with minimalist intervention. Here, Portuguese grape varieties are manually harvested under a Sustainable Production system: the whites, Arinto, Antão Vaz, and Alvarinho, are then fermented in French oak barrels and cement tanks; the reds, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Miúda, are processed with traditional foot treading in small pink marble presses from Estremoz.
